Welcome to Alfoz Website

Alfoz Plc was originally a family owned enterprise engaged in coffee farming and trading for over three generations. Based on the rich experience acquired, Alfoz Plc was established in 1998 as an export company. Initially it started exporting live animals and meat and thereafter continued exporting coffee, oil seeds and spices. It is now a strong competitor in coffee export. Alfoz has two modern coffee processing plants, in Addis Ababa and Dire Dawa and also has coffee transit offices in all coffee growing areas. The company has 70 permanent staff and over 500 daily laborers. Alfoz Plc has managed to export 8, 000 tons of coffee in 2010/10, ranking as one of the top ten coffee exporters in the country out of the total of 200 exporters.

The company has a roasting plant with a capacity of 4,000 ton per annum. This business was established in collaboration with a Japanese company and is expected to expand its market area to other countries too.

The company is presently growing coffee on its farm in Jimma area for producing coffee for the specialty market. The plan is to expand the farm to increase the company’s share in the specialty market.

Alfoz is at present preparing to have its own cleaning plant for pulses, oil seeds and spices and a slaughter-house for meat export.
